Baseboll Klub av Salau, or BK Salau is a team situated in the Koanian capital Omfattandestad and shares a fierce rivalry with Omfattandestad BoIS. They were the first team to win both inaugural seasons of the Nationella Basebolligan and Division Ett in 1897 and 1900 respectively.

Original owner Ole Kreuger started the team with fellow lawyer Linus Castren in 1891 as a way for fellow lawyers and office workers to let off steam after work. The friends renamed the team after Salau Island that both their offices overlooked having previously decided on the name Ferrissius Social Klub which they competed under in the Större Omfattanedstad Ligan from 1891 to 1893 before adopting their current name from 1894 onwards. They joined the Nationella Basebolligan in 1896 by pure chance, with Ole Kreuger overhearing a conversation in a pub called Wirströms, where team owners of the newly formed NBL were discussing a set of rules. He was originally there to meet with Calle Eriksson, the owner of Rovaniemi Förenta, and after much pursuading, convinced the other owners to allow both BK Salau and Rovaniemi Förenta to join the league.

BK Salau are affectionately known as Duvorna (The Pigeons) after a newspaper article from 1892 referring to lawyers as “dirty, uncouth, gutter birds” during a court case involving two big banks in the Koana Islands.

The home stadium of Mälarpark is situated just south of their offices in Odskolt Park near Skeda Zoo having purchased the land off of the local government. A large ballpark that shares similarities with BK Embleton’s, right-handed batters struggle to clear the fence in left field due to the strong wind blowing in from that side.

The teams colors are blue, white and gray.
