Baseboll Klub av Embleton, commonly known as BK Embleton, is a professional baseball team situated on the western part of Embleton, Eveleigh, Koana Islands.

Originally, BK Embleton consisted of two distinct teams: Embleton Artillery Social Baseboll Klub, owned by Niclas Nordin, and Embleton Norr Baseball Klub. The former, named in reference to the nearby artillery range that held significance in the city’s heritage, was established by Nordin as a recreational outlet for locals to learn to play baseball. The latter team, Embleton Norr BK, was known for its impressive ballpark and superior facilities.

Recognizing the potential benefits of combining resources and expertise, Nordin acquired Embleton Norr Baseball Klub in 1896, effectively merging the two teams. This strategic move provided BK Embleton with a strategically located ballpark and improved training facilities, forming a solid foundation for their future endeavors.

Under Nordin’s leadership, Embleton Artillery SBK attempted to join the Super Ligan in 1895 but were rejected, so Nordin set about establishing his own version of a professional league called the Nationella Basebolligan which began play in 1897. Now called BK Embleton, Skyttarna (The Shooters) performed much poorer than Nordin anticipated, finishing the first season with a 32-34 record. The following year saw an uptick in their fortunes, finishing as runners-up to Bryankeld Förenta BK.

Despite initially refusing to join the Super Ligan when nearly all clubs threatened to leave the Nationella Basebolligan, Nordin eventually relented and BK Embleton joined Division Ett for the 1900 baseball season, finishing 4th. In 1903, Skyttarna finished second and won promotion to the Super Ligan, staying in the top tier for 9 years.

Kyrkbacken Stadion is a large ballpark located in a residential area to the west of the city, serving as the home stadium for BK Embleton. The stadium is known for its characteristics as a pitcher’s park, where the chances of hitting a home run are relatively low. While home runs may be limited, Kyrkbacken Stadion provides favorable conditions for doubles and triples. The outfield’s expansive gaps and the strategic positioning of fielders create opportunities for well-hit balls to travel deep into the outfield, enabling base runners to advance multiple bases.

The club plays in purple and yellow with white as a teritary.
